When do organizations get paid?
Immediately. sportsreg uses Stripe Connect — registration fees go directly to your connected Stripe account on every successful payment. Stripe's standard payout schedule applies (typically 2 business days to your bank account).
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes. During onboarding you'll connect a Stripe account (or create one free). Stripe handles identity verification and bank account setup. It takes about 5 minutes.
What are Stripe's processing fees?
Stripe charges its own card processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30 CAD per transaction) separately from the sportsreg platform fee. These are standard industry fees and are borne by your connected Stripe account. The sportsreg 2.5% + $0.30 fee is charged in addition to these.
What if our registration volume is very low?
Nothing changes. There are no minimums, no monthly fees, and no penalties. If you collect zero registrations in a month, you pay nothing. sportsreg only earns when your club earns.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are initiated by org admins from the dashboard. The full registration amount is refunded to the parent. The platform fee (2.5% + $0.30) is not returned — this matches standard Stripe policy where processing fees on the original charge are non-refundable.
Is Canadian dollar billing supported?
Yes. All amounts are in CAD. Stripe natively supports Canadian dollars and Canadian bank accounts.
